AVIF (AV1 Görüntü Dosya Formatı)

AVIF, açık kaynaklı AV1 video codec'ine dayalı yeni nesil bir görüntü formatıdır. Eşdeğer kalitede genellikle JPEG'den %50 ve WebP'den %20 daha küçük üstün sıkıştırma verimliliği sunar. AVIF; HDR, geniş renk gamı, saydamlık ve animasyonu destekler.

AVIF, gelişmiş dönüşümler ve tahmin modları ile AV1 kare içi kodlama kullanır. 8, 10 ve 12 bit renk derinliği, 4:4:4 kroma, HDR10 ve PQ/HLG aktarım fonksiyonlarını destekler.

Gecmis

AVIF, Şubat 2019'da Alliance for Open Media tarafından tamamlanmıştır. Chrome 2020'de, Safari ise 2023'te destek ekleyerek büyük tarayıcı kapsamını tamamlamıştır.
